Why moves vary.
Swapping a boiler in the same spot is simple: everything it connects to is already there. Move it, and four things have to follow it. How far each one goes is what sets the price.
The flue
The flue takes the fumes outside. It has to come out in a safe place, a set distance from windows, doors, corners and your neighbour's property. Sometimes that's straightforward, sometimes it means a longer flue or a different wall.
The gas pipe
The gas supply has to reach the new spot, and a combi needs a pipe big enough to heat water on demand. A longer run can mean a wider pipe.
The condensate drain
Modern boilers make a little water, which has to drain away, usually into a waste pipe or outside drain. The new spot needs a route for it.
Making good
Where the old boiler was, there's a flue hole to fill and pipes to take out or box in. Tom will tell you what's included.
How we price it.
Start a quote and pick "No, move it" when it asks if the boiler is staying put. You'll see the full price for everything else straight away, with a line for the move that says Tom will price it. Then send three photos: the boiler front on, the flue outside, and the pipes underneath. Tom prices the move, usually the same day, and confirms your total before any work starts.

Questions people ask.
How much does it cost to move a boiler?
It depends on how far it goes and what has to move with it: the flue, the gas pipe, the water pipes and the drain. Tom prices it from your photos, usually the same day, and it's on your quote before you say yes.
Can I move my boiler when I get a new one?
Yes. Most people do it at the same time, because the old boiler is coming off the wall anyway. The new boiler is from £2,400 fitted; the move is priced on top from your photos.
Can a boiler go in the loft?
Often, yes. Loft installs need safe access, boarding and a light. Tom will check from your photos.
Can my boiler go anywhere I like?
Not quite. The flue has to get outside in a safe spot, away from windows, doors and neighbours, and the drain needs somewhere to go. Tom will tell you where it can go.
