Powerflush. £900, fixed.

If your radiators are cold at the bottom or slow to heat, the system is probably full of sludge. A powerflush clears it out. On its own, or with a new boiler.

The signs.

All three usually mean sludge: rust and dirt that builds up inside the pipes and radiators over the years. It blocks the water, so the heat can't get round, and the boiler works harder for less.

What we do.

A powerflush pumps water and cleaning chemicals through the whole system at high flow, radiator by radiator, until the water runs clean. Then we add an inhibitor to protect it from here on.

What a powerflush won't fix.

A radiator that's cold at the top and warm at the bottom usually has air in it, not sludge. Bleeding it with a radiator key often sorts that out, and if it keeps coming back, call us. A powerflush also won't fix a faulty boiler or a pump that's failing. If you're not sure which it is, ring us and describe what's happening, or send photos with a quote.

With a new boiler, or on its own.

Every new boiler we fit gets a system flush, an inhibitor and a filter as standard, so you only need a powerflush if your system shows the signs above. If it does, it's worth doing at the same time, so the new boiler starts on a clean system. Tick it in the quote tool and it's on your price.

If your boiler is fine but the heating isn't, we can do the powerflush on its own for the same £900. Leave your details below and we'll ring you to book it in.

All our prices are on the price list. You can also spread the cost of a new boiler.

Questions people ask.

How much does a powerflush cost?

£900 with us, inc VAT. The same price on its own or with a new boiler.

Do I need a powerflush with a new boiler?

Not always. Every boiler we fit gets a system flush and corrosion inhibitor as standard. A powerflush is for systems with the signs below. Tom will say if yours needs one from your photos.

How do I know if I need one?

Radiators that are cold at the bottom, rooms that take ages to heat up, or a boiler and pipes that bang and gurgle are the usual signs of sludge in the system.
