Which ecoTEC plus do you fit?
The latest ecoTEC plus combi. Vaillant also still list the earlier version, and Tom fits both. Your quote says which one you’re getting.
What do the smart controls do?
Vaillant’s controls read the temperature outside and adjust how hard the boiler works, so the house stays comfortable without wasting gas. They add +£531. A Hive thermostat is the cheaper app option at +£90.
Is it worth paying more than for the ecoFIT pure?
Both come with 10 years covered when we fit and register them. The ecoTEC plus is Vaillant’s top model and is built around their smart controls. If you don’t want those, the ecoFIT pure is better value.
How quickly can you fit it?
Often within 48 hours of saying yes, depending on engineer availability.
Is it the right size for my home?
If three or more showers might run at the same time, a combi may not keep up, so Tom will want a quick chat. Otherwise he checks the right output for your home from your photos before any work.
